We went to Bolinas today. Small but fun waves pre-high tide, but gorgeous weather. South swell is pretty small now. We're heading south next week to see what we can find. Hope everyone has a good 4th!
Went to santa cruz yesterday and it was so bad. Waist to head high at the lane ...not big wave stuff but at least its waves!!! Best its been in the last three weeks.

Blown out, sharked out, small, cold utterly uninviting.
Well, it's happened. Yesterday, June 20, a 15 foot great white shark was spotted by a large group of onlookers at Linda Mar beach in Pacifica. I spoke with a local who was there and saw the whole thing; the shark nabbed a seal right there on the outside break and started thrashing it around. Many of the local surfers at Linda Mar were either there in the parking lot or in the water. A large red cloud spread out from the turbulance and the struggle went on for what seemed like a long time.
When I pulled up to surf there yesterday, a lot of locals were sitting in the lot staring out at the waves with hesitation. The few that were there the day before and witnessed the scene all commented that "it was really big" and that they weren't surfing today. A handpainted sign marks the warning and reads"Great White Shark spotted here feeding on 6/20/96" with a red shark outline painted below it. The same(?) shark was spotted a week earlier by surfers at Sharp Park. Keep your toes UP y'all.....

Surfed Rodeo beach early in the am. Nice 3-4' waves with decent shape. On-shore winds have FINALLY given it a rest for a while!!! Anyone out there been surfing the south shore of Oahu this summer?? I yearn for daily info on spots like Kaisers and Sandy's....
Fairly good surf here in the San Francisco area. All spots are a bit windy but the swell is up to head high or above on the outside sets. Get out there.....

Malibu, 1 foot and poor - 6/15/96.
Surfed Santa Cruz yesterday (thurs june 6 ) for about 5 hours. Had nice little waves, glassy and 3' to 5' until about 12 0 clock. The minus tide usually make for a good session and it wasnt to crowded so we all got plenty of waves
Today the surf was great. Clean high peaks. You like left, you like right, we got em' both. If you wanna try this great spot, go to Winchester Bay. 1 and a 1/2 miles south of Reedsport, Oregon on highway 101. Also great locals. Totally friendly. We want you to come!!!!
